daniell review3 starsRafe and Lucy have known each other nearly all their lives.  They have crushed on each other but their timing has always been off when it comes to hooking up.  Then during a tragic event, Rafe is Lucy’s knight in shining armor.  But Lucy leaves town to recover from the tragedy, leaving Rafe behind.

Now, a year later, Lucy is back in town and reconnects with Rafe through mutual friends. Lucy isn’t ready to start dating again but Rafe convinces her they can be friends. While spending time together as friends, old feelings come back to the surface and this time, both Lucy and Rafe are single and ready to finally take the next step in their relationship.

But life isn’t always smooth sailing. Rafe is in a band with his 2 brothers, the 3 of them are triplets, and they have been living the “rocker” lifestyle.  The brothers are known for their hotness and love ’em and leave ’em ways. Will Rafe be able to change and be the man Lucy can count on? Will Lucy be able to work through her past relationship and trust issues and be strong enough to handle being the girlfriend of a rock star?

Overall, the story was sweet and I enjoyed the relationship between Lucy and Rafe. I think a few things could have been explained a bit better, such as what happened to Rafe’s father and Lucy’s high school boyfriend, Dallas, is mentioned as being in town but then nothing else is said.  I really liked the other triplets, Reeve and Ryder, and will be curious to see what the future holds for them.  Would recommend for anyone who likes a sweet rocker story.

I’m Callie Leveaux and I’m an escort for those with only the most specific of tastes.
In my world, sex is a buffet.
That dark, daring spot where only the most adventurous visit?
That’s my corner.
The deviant ones with the least to lose come to me
They get their fill, treating their palates while the rest steer clear, because they know what they like and they know only I can give it to them.
My name is Callie and I’m the girl you’ve been waiting for.
If you pay the right price, you can get a little taste.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I began reading Escort. I have read The Promise Series by Benson, and I thought this book would be different. I was right! It exceeded my expectations…it was AWESOME!

Callie is a highly paid escort to a select group of clients. I thought she would be a weak woman who entered this profession because of a horrible, dark past. I also thought she would have no control of what she did as well. WOW…was I wrong! Callie is probably one of the strongest, most controlled female characters I have seen in a while. However, in my opinion, this becomes one of her faults. At times, especially where Tommy is concerned, I wanted to take my Kindle and hit her with it and knock some sense into her. Speaking of Tommy, TOTAL PACKAGE…unconditional love, smart (except sometimes where Callie is concerned), and a sexy hottie.

Escort is a book that is quite different from a lot of books in the romance genre today. It really hooked me from the first page and didn’t let me go until I finished the last page which I did in a matter of 2 hours. Mind you, the book is short, but it is intense. Kate Benson is rapidly becoming a writer to watch. She has a way of hooking readers and having them waiting on pins and needles for her next book. She also has the ability to really connect her readers with her characters. They become like real people, and you have to remind yourself that they aren’t real. You will definitely remember each and every character in both of her series that she puts to paper. If there are any of you readers who may be hesitant about reading this because it’s about an escort, don’t let that deter you. Benson will take whatever preconceived notions you think you have about the subject matter and completely make you throw them out of the window. Another great book from Kate Benson!

I grew up in Texas and moved to Florida when I met the love of my life 13 years ago. I wrote my first poem when I was five and it was about my love affair with pickles. I still love pickles but I like to think my writing has grown since then. I absolutely adore anything to do with books whether it’s writing them or devouring them in one sitting. I live on music, love, and sweet tea. I am known for my silly but blunt personality. I’ve been lucky enough to find the love of my life, marry him and now we’re working on our happily ever after. He inspires me in everything I do, but especially in telling love stories. I’m an ordinary girl living an extraordinary love and I’m so happy I get to share it with the world through my writing.

I work with the younger girls. I can’t move my arms, either. Where am I? Where was I? It’s black, everything is black. I was leaving school. No. Work? No, I don’t work until later this week. Why can’t I remember? What was I doing? I was leaving…something. Somewhere. I’m sore. Everywhere hurts. The party. I was leaving a party. That’s it. I left the party because people were acting crazy. I walked. I walked home. I remember. I cut through Central Park. But then someone grabbed me. Someone grabbed me hard. They covered my mouth. I remember!
