When Lacey Fulton wakes up to find a young, mouth-watering hunk in her bed, she thinks she’s died and gone to heaven. While the sexy, carefree, playful and much younger bartender meets none of the requirements on her Mr. Right checklist, Lacey figures he could be her Mr. Right Now. Reilly Callaghan wants Lacey in his bed and not just for a short time. He will stop at nothing to have her, including exploring all of Lacey’s X-rated fantasies. From the bed to the shower and every room in between, the normally shy and self-conscious Lacey transforms into a bold, confident woman. Now Reilly must convince her that he is Mr. Right and to forget her damn list. When things go from casual to complicated, Lacey must decide whether to play it safe or take a chance. Can she let go of her past and find happiness with Reilly?
** A Siren Erotic Romance
If you are looking for something a little different, then give Lace & More a try! It’s a sweet, sexy May-December romance. Nice, somewhat conservative, Lacey wakes up next to an incredibly, hot stranger one morning after a night out with her friend. Instead of enjoying the moment, she tries to escape the situation as quickly as possible for several reasons, but the most important is that she is 11 years older than him. She has a list of what her ideal man is…older and somewhat settled into his life. The sexy stranger, Reilly, doesn’t fit with her idea of the man she is looking for. But, she is more attracted to him than she ever has been to anyone in her life. Reilly is intrigued by her too. Thus, one heck of a hot “friends with benefits” relationship starts. As time passes, Reilly wants more from Lacey, but her hangup about their age difference and her past threatens to kill a relationship that could last her a lifetime.
This was an erotic romance, so I was well aware that there would be lots of sex, but I had no idea of how much! Granted, I love my romance with some spice, but I kept thinking is this all there is to this book…just sex with no substance. Before you think I am being overly critical, I’m not….because Tanya Kelly blew my socks off! It was sheer genius in how she developed the story. You see, as things unfolded, my feelings of this is being about sex was exactly how Reilly was feeling. I felt all of his frustrations with Lacey. He felt like all she wanted him for was sex; she saw him as an object and not a person. But, with each layer of Lacey that was peeled away, and Reilly saw her differently, so did I. Frustration gave way to empathy and understanding of why Lace was acting the way she was. Once those layers of Lacey were peeled back, a beautiful love story was revealed. In addition to great sex and a great romance, stereotypes about men and women were blown away. Not all young, sexy men are arrogant jerks, and women who are older are beautiful…not just the 20 somethings we see in a lot of books.
Lace and More was a fantastic, sexy romance! There were some editing issues, but nothing too terrible. It was nice seeing a heroine who wasn’t in her 20’s, but a woman approaching 40 who was beautiful both inside and out. Just because a woman is older doesn’t mean she isn’t in her prime! Rock on, Lacey! Thanks, Tanya, for showing us that women of any age can be beautiful and desired!
