Here are some goodies for today!
Hard body of a man
Sings like an angel
Fucks like the devil
I was stuck between a rock(star) and a hard place.
At fifteen, his poster hung on my bedroom wall. At twenty-five his body hovered over mine. Every girl’s fantasy became my reality. I was dating a rockstar. Yet I was slowly falling for another man. The problem was—the two men—they shared a tour bus.
Flynn Beckham was the opening act.
Dylan Ryder was the headliner.
What happens when the opening act begins to shine so bright, it seems to dim everything else in its wake?
I’ll tell you what happens. Things get ugly.
Meet Flynn and Lucky in this rock star romance!

Getting through Flynn singing is incredibly hard. The way his throat moves, the way his mouth caresses each syllable of the low, raspy sound that falls from his lips. I should be watching his posture, his breathing, the way his larynx forces out the words—but instead I’m focused on the beauty of his mouth and how the sound of his voice glides over my body, making it feel both warm and tingly at the same time. I’m lost when the song finishes, yet I haven’t really observed him yet.
“So. Give it to me straight. What am I doing wrong?”
Ummm…absolutely nothing from what I can see. Everything was perfect. Don’t change a thing. Shit. “Could you do it again? Maybe a different song, one you haven’t sung in a while. So the sounds are less familiar to your body. Sometimes that can give me a different view.” At least I make it sound like a real thing when the words come out.
He sings again, and this time I force myself to observe. “Hmm…your posture is great. Most people have a tendency to favor one side of their neck, which makes them tilt a bit when they speak, and it becomes magnified when they sing, which puts strain on the muscles around the vocal cords. Your alignment is perfect.”
“Thank you, it goes with the rest of my perfectness,” he says with a teasing arrogance that, from the little I know about him, I know isn’t real.
“You didn’t let me finish.”
“You can’t now tell me I’m not perfect. I was already basking in the glow.”
“Actually, it was perfect…but almost a little too perfect. Which makes me think you don’t usually stand this way when you sing.”
“It isn’t the way I normally sing. On stage, I usually have a guitar over my shoulder. Even if I’m not playing it, it’s there.”
“Well, I need to see you holding your instrument to assess you fully, then.”
Flynn’s eyebrows quirk up and the dirty grin on his face is unmistakable.
“The guitar. I’d need to see you holding the guitar.”
“That’s a shame.” He shrugs, the playful smile still on his face. “But okay. It’s your call. Whatever instrument you want to see me hold is fine with me.”
“How big of you.”
“So now we’re talking about the other instrument again?”
I roll my eyes, although this conversation is having more of an effect on me than I let on.
Throughout this entire book I had butterflies in my stomach, how can that possibly be when I’m just reading a book? Well Vi Keeland has a way of connecting you with the characters to the point that you have those butterflies of nerves or anticipation for the characters! It’s amazing how she’s able to write a story and make you FEEL the characters!
Lucky seems to have it all, she’s got a sexy boyfriend Dylan, who she’s been crushing on for over 10 years. Not to mention he’s a rock star. Then she’s got an awesome job as a vocal coach and get to work with stars every day. But when Flynn walks into her life, she starts to question if she’s really happy with everything in her life.
Flynn is the sexy rocker with the voice of a god. He’s charismatic, but to top it off, he’s modest as well. When he first see’s Lucky at her bar, he’s instantly attracted to her, but in the follow months, he never knew he’d end up falling in love.
When Flynn gets asked to go our tour with Easy Ryder (just happens to be Dylan’s band) and Lucky is hired on as his vocal coach, things start to get intense. Flynn doesn’t want to be the other guy, and Lucky doesn’t want to be a cheater, but their attraction to each other is just too strong to ignore. Oh man do the pages catch on fire when these two finally give in to their desires, but it’s also where things start to get really rocky.
Lucky has a huge decision to make, but will she let outside forces make her decision? Or will she give in to her heart and let what happens happen, just for the chance to be truly happy?
Like I said, I really loved this book! It’s one I would have absolutely no problem reading over and over and over again. If you haven’t read Throb, no worries, you don’t need to. Come fall in love with Lucky and Flynn like the rest of us that have read the book!
Vi Keeland is a native New Yorker with three children that occupy most of her free time, which she complains about often, but wouldn’t change for the world. She is a bookworm and has been known to read her kindle at stop lights, while styling her hair, cleaning, walking, during sporting events, and frequently while pretending to work. She is a boring attorney by day, and an exciting smut author by night!

Connor Bannon is supposed to be dead. Dishonorably discharged from the Navy SEALs, he’s spent the last two years working as a street enforcer in Brooklyn for his cousin’s crime ring. Through a twist of fate, he’s now in Chicago, working undercover to bust criminals. But when a cute little arsonist joins the team-all combat boots, tiny jean shorts, and hot-pink hair-Connor’s notorious iron control slips.
Erin “she’s getting away” O’Dea knows two things. She hates authority. And… Nope, that’s it. When she’s forced to operate on the “right” side of the law, her fear of being confined and controlled blazes to the surface. The last thing she expects is a control freak like Connor to soothe her when she needs it most. Worse, something behind the sexy ex-soldier’s eyes ignites a dangerous inferno of desire. One that invites Erin to play with fire. And one that could get them both killed…

As if her thoughts had made him appear, Connor strode into the courthouse. Her pulse started beating double time, her stomach muscles tightening. Good Lord, the man was a fucking panty dropper. She’d only been away from him for a few hours and it felt like years since she’d experienced his presence. In jeans and a fitted gray T-shirt that molded to his muscles like her hands itched to do, he personified confidence and authority. Hot, rugged male. His gaze connected with hers immediately and darkened. She thought back to that morning when he’d dressed in the early morning light, his abs flexing as he pulled the shirt over his head. His erection barely contained by his boxers. She’d never been one to beg for anything, but she’d been seconds from offering him her mouth. Pleading for the privilege of sucking him off.
Conner shook his head at her with a sexy half smile on his face, as if he could read her thoughts across the room. He stopped at the metal detector and walked through after the security guard beckoned him forward. When the woman grabbed her wand and instructed him to raise his hands in the air, something ugly reared its head deep inside her. The detector hadn’t even beeped. There was no reason for the personal service. When the woman smiled at Connor and ran a hand down her ponytail, Erin propelled herself forward, boots echoing on the polished marble.
Erin hissed as she drew even with the guard. “If you’re done feeling up my boyfriend, I’d love a turn. We were in a rush this morning.”
The guard dropped the wand, letting it dangle near her thigh. “Did you just hiss at me?”
Erin hissed again.
“Okay.” Connor stepped between them, winking down at her. “We should go. Don’t want to keep the clerk waiting.”
Appreciation spread in her belly like honey. He hadn’t chided her for her behavior or apologized to the woman on her behalf. Instead he’d given the impression they were on their way to get married, appeasing her jealousy in one fell swoop. “That’s right.” She sauntered toward the elevator. “There’s vows to be exchanged. Rings to put on fingers. Shit like that.”
She glanced behind her to find Connor staring at her ass as she walked, so she put a little swing in her hips and savored his groan. Damn. She’d definitely never had this much fun at a courthouse.
A moment later, she and Connor stepped into an empty elevator. She hit the button for the top floor even though the clerk was on the first, and leaned back against the wall, looking up at him through her eyelashes. “How was your morning, baby? Was it worth leaving me in bed, all hot and bothered for you?”
“Fuck no, it wasn’t.” He crooked a big finger at her. “Climb on up here.”
Thank you for your interest in my books! I’m Tessa and I live in the crazy, loud, overcrowded borough of Brooklyn, New York. I love it here. This city is a constant source of inspiration, which is why I’ve decided to set my most recent books in the Line of Duty Series here.
I moved to New York when I was eighteen, the day after I graduated high school. Threw my suitcase in the back of a Chevrolet Cavalier and drove across the country to find my adventure. I’m still finding it, little by little.Thank you for being a part of it.

Title: Broken Lullabies (Love Of A Rockstar #2)
Author: Nicole Simone
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: June 25, 2015
His eyes as black as the the devils tongue
His melodic voice more tempting than a sirenÕs call
Three years ago, Camille Barker was held at knife point but her attacker wasn’t the one who haunted her dreams. No, it was the man that stood a-washed in the yellow glow of the street light, his stare observant but heedless. A witness to the senseless act. The venom that dripped from his twisted lips saved Camille’s life and set her soul ablaze. Reemerging from the ashes, she set upon the well worn path her parentÕs always dreamed she would take.
That is until rock n roller, Matthew Lee, shows her that you can only bask in the sun so long before the monsters come out to play.
My attention quickly got diverted when a bell chimed over the front door and my eyes lifted.
Panic roared to life. There were a million coffee shops dotting the city streets of Seattle and he came here. Why did I have such bad luck? Sliding my novel in front of my face, I slunk down into the chair as if that would render me invisible.
Do not look over here
Do not look over here
I begged silently for reprieve. Heavy footsteps thumped against the floor, drawing closer. When they stopped, my heart did as well. The scent of Chanel Number Five confused my senses.
Matthew stood next to my table dressed in a pair of dark washed jeans and a button up shirt, opened at the collar. The glasses he normally wore were gone, and I much preferred he’d worn them. His stormy grey eyes were discomfiting.
“You smell like a woman,” I blurted in greeting.
A Cheshire cat-like smile spread across his face. “Is that so?”
I met his smile with a scowl. The way he talked, in questions, dancing around whatever secrets he held up his sleeve, made want to slap him — hard.
“Yes, that’s so.”
Without asking if he could sit down, Matthew pulled out a chair and folded himself into the seat. Stretching out his long legs, he crossed his ankles and leaned back.
My eyes rolled. “Please get comfortable. Stay a while,” I said sarcastically.
Another powerful hit of perfume made my head ache. With nobody behind me, my chair scooted a safe two inches away from him. I wished the windows were open though. Matthew’s odd choice of deodorant was stinking up the place.
His eyebrows bunched together. “Is it that bad?”
“It’s as if you rolled in a vat of flowers.”
“I took a shower after.”
Matthew smirked. After sex — that’s what he was hinting. Envy stabbed me in the solar plexus but I quickly batted it away. It’s not like I wanted to tie Matthew to the bedposts and have my wicked way with him.
“You’re disgusting,” I remarked.
“Why? Sex is perfectly healthy and natural.” His pupils darkened. “Not to mention fun. Don’t you find it fun, Camille?”

I’m not the only person in the river. I can’t see how many people are around, but I can hear someone is treading in the water.
Panic rushes cold through my veins. Have they seen me? Does the splashing come from Starvillers hiding from the shots as well?
For a moment, there’s only silence. Then another shot startles me, and I fight my body to keep calm. I swim as fast as I can, not caring about silence anymore. Better to put distance between myself and my possible enemies.
The current makes my escape slow. I reach a point where I can hide behind a trunk.
Then I see him.
A young man, so tall and built that for a moment, I think he’s Sasquatch minus the fur. No one in Starville, not even Rey, is so burly. Strong muscles reveal years of military training and hint at the drug use that makes Patriot soldiers so inhumanly tall and massive. Long wet strands of blond hair run down his broad back giving him a leonine look. The tattoos on his back tell me he has been in combat and deserves respect.
A soldier! He seems to be alone.
My stomach clenches in panic and my heart beats at top speed. Soldiers are sadistic giants and killing machines. The tonics they use to build their muscles make them extremely dangerous, violent, and horny.
I lose sight of him for a moment. He emerges in a different spot where the water is deep. He is so tall that the water covers only up his waist while he’s standing. He must be at least seven feet tall and without a doubt, the strongest soldier I’ve ever seen. When he moves, I can see his private areas. Every part of him is enormous.
The soldier doesn’t seem to be in attack mode. He’s inclined and rubbing foam around his massive torso. He’s bathing.
The possibility of being discovered, with no one to witness when he rapes me makes the hairs on the back of my neck prick. I could wait for him to go, but what if they plan to camp here? I won’t wait for the coast to be clear risking discovery and gang rape.
I force myself to remain focused. I suspect he has a reason to be unbothered by the shots. If he’s not startled, it’s likely that whoever’s making the racket will take his side. I consider attacking him while he’s naked. I’ve been practicing knife throwing with my rebel group. But, Sasquatch’s nakedness and apparent relaxed behavior are deceiving. I’m armed while bathing, so he probably is too. And what if he alerts his companions? I don’t stand a chance fighting against a trained unit of steroid-injected soldiers.
He’s blocking the safer spot to get out of the river. There’s a gargantuan rock behind him that reaches not far from where I’m hiding. If I could climb it unseen, I could get back to where my clothes are and escape. The only other option is to swim to the other side, where the current is too strong. At this moment, my only advantage is my knowledge of the hiding places in this river.
The soldier frequently submerges and emerges for several minutes. My eyes open wide when I see that Sasquatch’s leonine face looks incredibly sad. Sadness isn’t an emotion I associate with soldiers.
When he rubs his face with foam and closes his eyes, I silently approach the lower part of the current and climb the rock.
I put my foot on the base of the rock. It’s smooth and slippery. There are few places to put my fingers and climb on, but I manage to climb my way up.
When I’m almost at the top, I toss my knife over the rock to free my hands. From here I see the soldier is all by himself.
The higher I climb, the less visible I become to him.
Sasquatch is back under the water now and hasn’t resurfaced for a while. In spite of the danger, I gawk, impressed by his lung capacity.
He finally emerges to take air, but I hide until he goes back under. I’m close to my goal when my feet become slippery traitors.
I fall into the water below me.
Butt first. Straight toward the soldier’s head.
