Synopsis

*WARNING* This novel contains explicit language, sex, drugs, violence, and sexual situations that some might find offensive. This book is intended for adults 18+ years of age. This story might be considered dark to some readers…

In my world, there is no such thing as love. It is just a lie we whisper into our client’s ear. Love is foreign and hazardous. What I did not expect was to bare my soul to a man who is as egotistical as he is dangerous.

His name is Landon. Despite his blackened soul, he tried to save me, but what he didn’t expect was my torturous fate to catch up with me.

To your father, I’m the escort.

To your mother, I’m the whore.

To the legal system, I’m the prostitute.

In the end, I’m just the other woman.

I have no idea if I will continue to survive, if I will ever find my path aside from the gritty streets I know so well. There is a good chance I will wind up in the ditch like most women in my position. Surrendering to my fate is the only choice I have. I must relinquish it all.

Excerpt

“What do you think you’re doing?” I question, my words muffled from arousal. He doesn’t respond, just caresses his lips along the sensitive skin of my neck seductively, causing my head to loll to the side. A rush of desire races through my chest, and my breathing picks up.

“We can’t, remember? You’re my pimp, and I’m you’re escort. Rules,” I whimper, reminding him of his words from last night.

He growls, the sound of his teeth grating.  “Don’t ever call me that,” he rasps into my ear. The heat of his breath causes me to moan. He turns me around and picks me up, his fingers digging into my dress-cladded thighs.

“What if you’re not my escort right now? No rules,” he breathes heavily, placing me down on his desk.

“Like, pretending?” I question, digging my heels into his ass, pushing him closer.

“Exactly,” he whispers, brushing my hair from my face. “Just two normal people.”

“How do normal couples meet? What do ordinary people do when they’re together?” I murmur, not having the first clue how a normal couple does things.

Landon slides his hands up each of my thighs, pushing my dress up quickly, revealing my smooth legs and thighs.

“We met on a golf course. I asked you out on a date,” he mutters, his words drawn out and heavy with his harsh breathing as I undo his pants.

“I don’t sleep with a guy until date number three,” I inform him, my hands fisting his hard cock and pulling it free.  My mouth parts when I see it. I forgot how big, how thick it is. He hisses through his teeth as I slide my fingers along his shaft.

“Two, because you couldn’t resist me when I bought you some stupid necklace my shitty-paying job paid for,” he grunts. His hand dips below my dress and pulls my thong to the side, swiping a finger between my wetness, causing me to buck against his hand with an uncontrollable urge.

~ REVIEW: Floating (Ray Point Book 1) by Michelle Dare ~

51OcWS9VjyL._SX311_BO1,204,203,200_SynopsisFear wasn’t a fleeting emotion for Lucy Abrams. It was something she felt every day of her life. The night she almost drowned was seared into her memory, marking the beginning of her problem with anxiety. Her oceanfront home and the crashing of waves against the shoreline served as an ever-present reminder of her past. Until the day she saw someone on the beach whose very presence calmed her.

Ellis Sullivan was a recent law school graduate, spending the summer with his best friends at his family’s beach house in Ray Point. It was their last chance to have fun together before they entered the workforce. Summer was supposed to be full of days on the sand and parties at night, but that changed the day he first saw Lucy. She walked into his life and rendered him speechless. He knew he’d never be the same.

A relationship between the two was unexpected, but their connection was strong. Not everyone thought they should be together, though. Lucy’s ex-boyfriend, Gabe, wasn’t ready to give up on a future with her. After all, he was the one who saved her life.

Love and trust came together to help Lucy find the peace within that she had searched for since that terrible night. Only with the right person by her side was she able to move on, beyond the fear that had ruled her life for far too long. The person who made her feel like she was floating.

christie review 5 star aFloating is an absolutely stunning, beautiful story. It’s a romance, but that is only a fraction of the story of this book. It’s about paralyzing fear, and the sheer strength it takes to overcome it. Lucy has returned home after graduating college to a beautiful home on the beach that would be most people’s idea of paradise, but not hers. Just the sight and sound of the waves crashing bring absolute terror into her heart and mind. On the other hand, Ellis has just graduated from law school and along with his friends, they plan to have a care free summer filled with parties and girls. Well, that comes to a screeching halt for Ellis when he sees Lucy at the small grocery store. He can’t get the beautiful blonde out of his mind. And, Lucy has noticed Ellis and friends on the beach while sitting on her deck. Just watching him from afar calms her anxious spirit. The two begin to date, but will Lucy be able to keep her anxiety a secret, and what will Ellis think when he knows the truth about her sometimes debilitating condition?

I loved the romance between the Lucy and Ellis, but at first, I thought it might be a little too fast paced, but it wasn’t. It’s one of those special relationships that you know is going to be “magical” from the very beginning. There were some steamy scenes in the book, but mostly it was the development of the love story between the two. I found this quite refreshing, and I loved that there was very little angst between them. It is a romance, but there is so much more going on the book than just a love story. It’s about dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic event and how it changes a person. They know they will never be the same, but how do they become the person they were meant to be and not let fear completely have control? Michelle Dare did a phenomenal job of illustrating the strength and the true grit that it takes to not only survive but to be a fighter. Lucy survived an event that made her stronger, but she didn’t see it that way. Instead of living life to the fullest, she lived in fear. Ellis was such a support for her…he showed patience and unconditional love to help her take her first steps to living life again. They really were the perfect couple! I am really happy that this is going to be a series. There are so many characters that I would like to see get their own stories.

I have never really added anything personal to a review, but I felt like I had to with this book. Michelle Dare did a wonderful job of showing just how devastating and isolating anxiety/panic attacks can be. It can creep up on you when you least expect it. I, myself, have dealt with a full blown panic attack that I never saw coming, and when I am around that particular trigger, it can bring one on without warning. It so very important to have someone in your life like Ellis and Lucy’s mother to help you through it. Thank you, Michelle Dare, for showing people that anxiety/panic attacks are real, but there is hope to overcome them and live a fulfilling and very happy life! I will be anxiously awaiting to return to Ray Point!

Excerpt
Cold.
All I can feel is a deep chill blanketing my body. My eyes open to complete
darkness as a
voice calls to me. Its muffled tones send
shivers down my spine with every garbled word. A sense of familiarity floats
around me as its words become clearer.
“Run, Dani,” it pleas from beyond the black
veil shrouding the room. “Escape while you can,” it continues. Panic courses
through my veins. Where in the hell am I? Why can’t I see anything? The pleas
go unanswered as my voice fails to render sound.

“Help!” I scream internally, “Please, fucking
help me!”

The voice’s call fades with each word. “You
need to get the hell out of here, Dani. You need to move. Find a wall and
escape,” I coach to myself. A cold chill of air sweeps into the darkness
encompassing me as I try to feel the place around me. My fingers plunge into a
dense, sticky liquid as I crawl forward causing my body to slide with each
movement. A hard surface is finally inching its way under my fingers.

Crawling upwards, I splay my hands against the
cool wall. “You’re on your feet, Dani. The hardest part is over now. Time to
find a door or a light switch, something to get us out of here,” my internal
coach continues.

Keeping close to the wall, I finally find a
switch. Flicking it upwards, the light shines brilliantly. As my eyes adjust to
the light, my hands come into my vision. A scream barrels out of my throat when
I see the sticky, red blood covering my hands and clothes. My heart races as I frantically wipe
the blood away. Blood begins to pool at my feet, inching toward me. Rushing
away from the blood, I fall backward into a solid, but warm obstacle. Before I
can turn around, hands grasp my arms as a person’s hot breath trails down my
neck.

“Hello, Dani,” a different voice whispers in
my ear. “Welcome to Hell. You’re mine now,” the voice crackles as my body is
pulled into black oblivion.

Ginger Voight
is a screenwriter and bestselling author with over twenty published titles in
fiction and nonfiction. She covers everything from travel to politics in
nonfiction, as well as romance, paranormal, and dark, “ripped from the
headlines” topics like Dirty Little Secrets.

 Ginger
discovered her love for writing in sixth grade, courtesy of a Halloween
assignment. From then on, writing became a place of solace, reflection, and
security. This was never more true than when she found herself homeless in L.A.
at the age of nineteen. There, she wrote her first novel, Chasing Thunder,
longhand on notebook paper, while living out of her car. Fittingly, this book
will be the first released through a traditional publisher in 2015.

 In
1995, after she lost her nine-day-old son, she worked through her grief by
writing the story that would eventually become The Fullerton Family Saga.

 In
2011, she embarked on a new journey—to publish romance novels starring heroines
who look more like the average American woman. These “Rubenesque”
romances have developed a following thanks to her bestselling Groupie series.
Other titles, such as the highly-rated New Adult series, Fierce, tap into the
“reality-TV” preoccupation in American entertainment, which gives her
contemporary stories a current, pop culture edge.

 Known
for writing gut-twisting angst, Ginger isn’t afraid to push the envelope with
characters who are perfectly imperfect. Whether rich, poor, sweet, selfish,
gay, straight, plus-size or svelte, her characters are beautifully flawed and
three-dimensional. They populate her lavish fictional landscapes and teach us
more about the real world in which we live simply through their interactions
with each other. Ginger’s goal with every book is to give the reader a little
bit more than they were expecting, told through stories they’ll never forget.

christie review 5 star a

“No, love isn’t easy and perfect, but it could be a wonderful, crazy, perfect mess”

I’m stunned and will be nursing a bad book hangover after finishing this book. It was an absolute pleasure to read. However, it’s hard to write a review for because I want other readers to know how great it truly was. I hope I can accomplish that task!

Ariel is a beautiful, damaged soul, as the title suggests. She has some of the strongest walls erected around her heart that I have ever seen. She lets no one and I mean NO ONE break through those walls, except her beloved Grams. Damon is the sexy singer who performs in the restaurant/bar where she works. She’s noticed Damon and feels a pull toward him, but she knows he has the power to completely break her, so she watches him from afar. Guess what? Damon feels the same pull toward Ariel. One night he starts a conversation with her which later turns to flirting and leads to the two of them dancing around a relationship. But, every time he gets close, she runs. Will she finally stop running and allow herself to be happy?

I don’t think there has ever been a character that has pulled me into a story or into her heart as Ariel did. It’s so evident through Sevani’s awesome, descriptive writing that she is almost damaged beyond repair. I’m not ashamed to say every time that precious girl shed a tear, I did the same. I wanted to ease her pain just like Damon did. Damon’s soul was as beautiful as his body and face. He was so kind and patient with her. What woman wouldn’t swoon when a man tells her he will never run away from her but toward her? Be still my heart. Another character who captured my heart was Grams. I loved her hard, and the scenes between her and Ariel were some of my favorite. She reminded me of my own grandmother, and it made me grateful to have had the special relationship I had with her.

As far as the story goes, there is a lot of angst, but there had to be for the book to work. As you get to know Ariel, you will find out why. You will realize winning her heart will take patience and strength. Damon will have to work hard to do that! The building sexual tension was intense and explosive, but their big scene was worth all the frustration and waiting. The sex scenes were steamy, but they are some of the most beautiful I have ever read. They don’t just make you hot, but they engage your heart.

As I was reading, it was hard for me to believe this was Gina Sevani’s first novel. I would never have guessed that from the descriptive way she writes. While this book doesn’t end of a cliffhanger, I am wondering if this is the end of their story. I think there are some secrets our sexy Damon is hiding. There are some other characters whom I believe have a story too…I hope so! I am eagerly awaiting Sevani’s next book!

Too Many Rock Stars by Candy J. Starr
(Access All Areas, #1)
Publication date: October 30th 2015
Genres: New Adult, Romance

SynopsisI don’t date rockers. Don’t sleep with them. Don’t even swap spit. I’ve been working as a band booker at Trouble — the coolest indie rock club in town — long enough to know what a bunch of screwed up, egotistical jerks they are. Some of them might seem okay at first but that’s just because they’ve learnt to hide it better than others.

That would be fine if Razer didn’t keep popping into my office, making himself so annoyingly attractive. And he only gets more insistent when the leather-clad Alex hits town.

While they compete for both rock glory and my affection, I get stuck in the middle but all I really want to do is save my job and the club.

That’s the trouble with my life: too many rock stars.

This is book 1 in the Access All Areas rock star series. For the best, non-spoiler it is best to read the series in order but each book is a complete story with no cliffhangers.

ExcerptI bolted out of the club and hit the street before I realised it was raining. One of those summer showers that make the world into a steamy sauna. I huddled under a shop awning, wondering where I was headed anyway. Home was an option but it wasn’t an option that would comfort me. I needed comfort after that talk. My apartment was just a place to sleep. I spent more time at the club than I ever did at home. I had a bed and some other furniture left over from the previous tenant. I think there was a stove there too.

What did other people do? Go to the movies? I hadn’t seen a movie in years. I had no idea what I’d even watch. Go shopping? With no money in my wallet.

People rushed past me. It was peak hour, the time when normal people knocked off work and headed for the train. I watched them scurry by, all looking like they had important things to do and places to go. They seemed so alien to me. Going home to families or meeting friends for drinks.

I wanted to put distance between Chuck and me but all I could do was huddle under that shop awning.

I sensed his presence beside me before I saw him.

“What’s up?” Razer asked.

“Your umbrella,” I snapped back. “What’s with the pink florals?”

He laughed. “I saw you rush out of the bar so grabbed this from the lost property box. Not the best choice, huh.”

Even in my utter despair, the combination of his bulk with that girlie umbrella made me giggle.

“You look like an idiot.”

“Yeah, I do. But if it keeps the rain off, that’s the main thing.”

We both stood there in the rain looking at each, as though not sure what to do next. Should I just take the umbrella from Razer and head off? That seemed a bit rude when he’d actually tried to help. I should thank him but being nice to Razer just seemed weird. The way we played things was that he’d do something annoying and then I’d yell at him. If he didn’t do the annoying thing, I had no precedent of how to deal with him.

“Umm, thanks.” That was the right thing to say?

“Where are you off to anyway?” he asked.

I looked around me. “No idea.”

But without even discussing it, the two of us started walking, huddled under that umbrella. My thin summer dress was wet and stuck to my legs as I walked but I’d been wearing my boots so my feet were dry. I had to walk so close to Razer that our bodies touched, in order for us both to be covered by the umbrella. Soon, our footsteps fell into rhythm.

Walking like that seemed crazy intimate. I had to repress my impulse to bolt from him or at least put some distance between us. His arm brushed against mine and I quivered.

As we walked, he told me a story about Dazza getting stuck in the toilet just before they went on stage once. In between laughing, I stole sideways glances at him. The hands wrapped around the umbrella handle weren’t musician’s hands. They were solid, strong hands. The kind of hands you could imagine creating physical things. Now Alex, he had musician’s hands, with long tapered fingers.

Maybe it was just an illusion created by the umbrella but I felt safe and protected in a way I hadn’t in a long time. Cars rushed past us and people scurried to get out of the rain but we walked slowly, not in a rush to get anywhere.

Ahead, I saw a huge puddle on the side of the footpath. I couldn’t resist the urge. I ran up and jumped into that puddle, spraying water up around me. At the same, Razer had jumped in the puddle too.

“I haven’t done that since I was a kid,” he said.

“Me neither,” I replied and laughed.

“Not much point me bringing the umbrella if you are just going to get yourself all wet anyway.”

I ran to another puddle and stomped, splashing water up over him.

“Hey, watch it,” he called then did the same to me.

I squealed but laughed at the same time. He’d be the one squealing when I got my revenge.

I saw a puddle up ahead and ran to it, knowing he’d follow me. As I ran for it though, my foot twisted under me. That puddle had been hiding a bloody great pothole. My momentum propelled me forward while my foot got stuck. I screamed in pain as I fell to the ground.

“Violet,” Razer called. “Are you okay?”

He held out his hand to me to help me up. I almost refused, angry at the whole world for making me fall. My dress had gone from damp to wringing wet and probably torn and filthy. My palms were grazed but I took his hand.

As I tried to put weight on my foot, I screamed again. Shards of pain ran up my leg and I almost toppled to the ground again but Razer put his arm around me and took my weight.

“Can you walk?” he asked.

I shook my head, thinking he’d offer to call a cab or something. Instead, he swooped me up in his arms.

“Put me down,” I said. “This is… it’s wrong!”

Being carried like a baby was not dignified. I tried to scramble away from him but almost fell and I knew I couldn’t walk. Instinctively, I’d put my arm around his neck.

“You can’t walk and I’m not leaving you in a puddle, so this is the only choice.”

“At least pull my dress down so I’m not flashing my knickers to the world.”

He stopped while I adjusted my clothes then handed me the umbrella.

“You have your hands free,” he said.

I folded my arms around his neck, one hand grasping my wrist and my other holding the umbrella. His breath on my neck tickled in a way that reverberated through my body.

“I think the rain’s stopped now,” I said. “I can put down the umbrella.”

“Best you don’t. You can never tell with summer rain. It’s a sneaky bugger.”

But his eyes twinkled and I think he made that up just so I’d cling tighter to him. Our bodies rubbed together, so hot that in the rain, steam rose from our skin.

He carried me down the crowded street, people parting to make way like water in front of a speed boat. I giggled and leaned against him, feeling slightly drunk even though I’d not touched a drop.

Finally, we got to my house.

“Are your arms tired from carrying me?” I asked.

“I could carry you another 20 miles,” he said. “Maybe 30. I’d never get tired of carrying you.”

His t-shirt was wet and covered in dirt from where I’d pressed against him. I had to have been even worse. Still, that wasn’t important.

I felt like all the weight of responsibility had washed away in the rain. The part of me that put the brakes on had gone. She’d be back but while the rain lasted, I could be someone else.

He carried me through the doorway as though I were a bride on her wedding night, and sat me down on the bed. Well, the mattress on the floor covered with an old Indian bedspread and chocolate-stained sheets. I noticed the smell, like I’d forgotten to put the garbage out. I always forgot to put the garbage out. Not a rotten smell but just a little over-ripe. And the cobwebs on the ceiling and the holes in the carpet. But Razer didn’t seem to notice.

He went to the fridge.

“Do you have any ice?” he asked. “Anything at all?”

There was half a bag of frozen peas at the back of the freezer. I had no idea where they’d come from. I had no recollection of ever buying a bag of peas. He had to hack at them with a knife to get them out. Then he wrapped the bag in a tea towel and unzipped my boots. As he slipped them off my feet, I wondered that he could be so strong and so gentle at the same time.

The shock of the ice on my ankle made me jump.

“You’ll have a nasty bruise,” he said.

He sat down beside me and placed my ankle on his knee. He felt it to make sure it wasn’t broken. I wasn’t sure I trusted his medical knowledge but it just seemed sprained to me.

“Do you know what you’re doing?” I asked.

He nodded. “Yep, years of playing sports in high school. This will be painful for a couple of days but you’ll be fine after that.”

I had to lean back on my elbows to support myself. The rain pattered on the roof and rivulets ran down the window panes. The ice on my ankle turned my foot numb. I squirmed.

“Don’t move. You don’t want to do any more damage. You’ll need to keep it elevated too.”

I nodded. As the throbbing in my foot lessened, I became more aware of him. The two of us in my barely function apartment. The way his damp t-shirt clung to his body and how the rain had made his hair curl slightly.

“What happened?” he asked. “If you don’t want to tell me, that’s okay but you were pretty upset.”

I tried to sit up as best I could and told him what Chuck had said. Of course, I didn’t tell him everything. There are things you just don’t tell people.

Razer nodded as I talked. He understood.

“The only thing to do is to make sure he can’t sell the place. We have to work together.”

I gave him an appraising look.

“Hey, I want to save the place as much as you do. It’s my people. We could play at any club in this city but that’s where we started and we’ll keep playing there forever.”

“Even if you become a huge star,” I asked.

“Even if I become the hugest star in the galaxy. There are some places that just feel real. Like family. Where you don’t have to be anyone but yourself and other people don’t give a shit. They want you to be yourself. It’s comfortable and even the bad times are better there than anywhere else. That sounds stupid, I know. I can’t say what I mean…”

I smiled, a shiver going through me at his words.

“I know exactly what you mean,” I replied.

His gaze locked onto mine. A wave of desire shot straight to my soul like I’d known this would happen from the moment he picked me up. It was part of the crushing weight that something I loved might end, my need for comfort, the battering of the rain. Part of Trouble, that might soon be taken away from me.

He looked at me until I blushed and wanted to turn away. Something in his eyes made me feel like he could see things in my soul that I didn’t know myself. I couldn’t turn away though, I was too caught in the moment.

He gently lowered my foot to the bed, propping it on a pillow, then reached over and stroked my cheek. My skin felt like it was on fire and I couldn’t breath. My senses went haywire. I knew I should’ve told him to stop. My brain told me that was the right thing. I had to fight but the rain kept pattering on the roof and the droplets ran down the window and my heart wouldn’t let me move.

The rain enveloped us in a cocoon and the outside world seemed so far away. It wouldn’t hurt, just this once, in this moment, to give in.

When his lips touched mine, I almost jumped from the sensation. The wave crashed through my body, I felt like I’d drown. But he wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer. The raindrops on the roof beat out a pattern that mirrored the beating of my heart and my stomach dropped like I was at the top of a roller-coaster, waiting to plummet out of control.

Our mouths became hungry with urgent kisses while my insides churned. This went against everything I believed in, my personal code of honour thrown to the ground and trampled but it felt good and right. I moaned with my need for more. He was trying to tell me something with his kisses, a whole story for me to read. I wanted that story to unveil itself to me. I pulled him closer and ignored the twinge of pain in my ankle, just to have his body against mine.

He lowered me onto the mattress, gently, without taking his mouth from mine. I traced the tattoo lines along his chest and down his arms, the dips and curves over muscles of steel.

His fingers deftly undid the buttons on my dress until it fell open. His finger ran down my stomach, slowly, as though memorising every contour of my skin. It tickled and I tried not to flinch but that just made him laugh.

There was something right about it, like we were meant to be. No need to rush or to think too much. Just a delicious dream.

Then the phone rang.

Abou the author CandyCandy J. Starr used to be a band manager until she realised that the band she managed was so lacking in charisma that they actually sucked the charisma out of any room they played. “Screw you,” she said, leaving them to wallow in obscurity – totally forgetting that they owed her big bucks for video equipment hire.

Candy has filmed and interviewed some big names in the rock business, and a lot of small ones. She’s seen the dirty little secrets that go on in the back rooms of band venues. She’s seen the ugly side of rock and the very pretty one.

But, of course, everything she writes is fiction.

Synopsis
Where do babies come from?

The question every parent dreads hearing has finally fallen from the lips of six year old Ava Banks, the curious, precocious little girl that you fell in love with in Ignite. Jeremy and Sierra, normally blunt as can be, struggle to find the right words to answer her. So instead, they rewind sixteen years to that one fateful day where a game of Seven Minutes in Heaven inevitably led to life-long romance filled with laughter, love, and many, many mishaps along the way.

Falling in love with your best friend? It’s the most incredible thing in the world. But when a love comes so easily, will it truly be able to last? When the world comes crashing down around you, can even the strongest relationship withstand great tragedy?

Stay tuned for lots of laughs, teenage awkwardness, a few tears, and most of all, mullets. Because what good love story doesn’t do business in the front, and party in the back?
**While Fusion is a standalone romance, it’s best read after Ignite.

Ignite (Explosive #1)
Excerpt
“It’s fine, Jeremy. I promise. I have no problem being the Tod to your Copper. Or the Joey to your Dawson. That’s who I am.” She hesitated for a brief moment. “That’s who I’ll always be. You’re my best friend, Jeremy. It’s okay that you don’t see my boobs. Hell, it’s probably better that way.”

My stomach plummeted and if I was man enough to admit it, my eyes burned with an unexpected rush of tears. I stepped back, out of the streetlight so she couldn’t see me. It was a move she misinterpreted, but before I could find a single ounce of courage, she was waving goodbye and running into her house, leaving me there to watch her go.

Something I never wanted to do again.

It wasn’t until after Sierra left for Ohio and I had a chance to reflect on her words that I realized what she’d said. Dawson and Joey, as of right then, weren’t even speaking. Copper and Tod went their separate ways, and even though their friendship remained, they were still apart for the rest of their lives.

I didn’t want to be Copper anymore. I sure as hell didn’t want to be Dawson.

But it was too late. I’d lost my chance. I’d missed my window. Sierra was gone and there was nothing I could do about it.

Jenna was right.

I was an idiot.

I’m a twenty something book junkie who is also obsessed with sports. Bengals, Buckeyes, Reds are my teams! I work for the government during the day, hang out with Air National Guard on the weekends, and have been married to my own book boyfriend for over seven years. We currently live right outside of Dayton, OH with our two cats.

If I’m not writing or looking through tons of photos of hot men, all in the name of research, then you can probably find me curled up with my Kindle, ignoring the rest of the world. I love my sports almost as much as I love my books. My other obsessions include red wine, country music, and all things Grace Potter.

Publication date: December 17th 2015
Genres: New Adult, Romance, Suspense

Synopsis

Don’t judge me.
I am not what you see.
I am the opposite.
—Nadia’s lipstick note on Bo’s mirror.

Indie-rocker Bo Lindgren is worshiped for his looks and musical genius. It’s been lonely at the top since his ex left. Bo will never take a girlfriend again though, because he doesn’t have the chops to love. He knows he’s poison, a heartbreak waiting to happen for anyone he allows too close—like his ex. Bo screws his way through the fangirls until he’s sick of it all. Until the dark gaze of Nadia Vidal appears in the door to his dressing room.

Saved from an arranged marriage by Jude, the love of her life, Nadia eloped and got married at nineteen. But now, two years later, life is wilted, dead, and not what anyone should have to endure.

Nadia, with her secret-keeper eyes and instant understanding of who Bo is, attracts and fascinates him without even trying. The ring gleaming on her finger should keep them apart, but morals can’t always resist destiny.

When brokenhearted meets heartbreaker, whose heart is really at stake?

Walking Heartbreak Full

Abou the author

Sunniva was born in Norway, the Land of The Midnight Sun, but spent her early twenties making the world her playground. Southern Europe: Spain, Italy, Greece—Argentina: Buenos Aires, in particular. The United States finally kept her interest, and after half a decade in California, she now lounges in the beautiful city of Savannah. Sunniva has a Master’s degree in Spanish, which she taught until she settled in as an adviser at an art college in the South.

Sunniva writes New Adult fiction with soul. Sometimes it’s with a paranormal twist, like in Shattering Halos, Stargazer, and Cat Love. At other times, it’s contemporary, as in Pandora Wild Child, Leon’s Way, Adrenaline Crush, and now Walking Heartbreak.

Sunniva is the happiest when her characters take over, let their emotions run off with them, shaping her stories in ways she never foresaw. She loves bad-boys and good-boys run amok, and like in real life, her goal is to keep you on your toes until the end of each story.

Sometimes your first love is also your last.

Five years after watching her drive away, his first love is back. Andrew finds himself wanting more than meaningless easy conquests, a lot more.

Following her dream of becoming a chef, Amanda Watkins left Montana with a beat-up pickup truck and a broken heart. Five years after watching Andrew fade away in her rear-view mirror, she’s back and is dead set on avoiding the man she still dreams about. Loving Storm Blurb:

I met him in a snow storm…

We spent forty-eight hours trapped in the back of his pickup truck.

We fought.

We touched.

We fell.

Hard.

She literally crashed into my life…

The last thing I wanted was a relationship. Especially with a quirky chick that drove me insane. But something about her got under my skin, and into my heart.

And I had to have her.

All of her. Now.

Falling in love in the back of a truck, just the two of us, was easy.

Finding out he’s a famous rock star, dealing with jealous fans, psycho exes, and demons from the past….not so easy.

ABOUT CARIAN

I have a passion for the bad boys, those covered in tattoos, sexy smirks, ripped jeans, fast cars, motorcycles and of course, the sweet girls that try to tame them and win their hearts. My debut series, Ashes & Embers, follows the lives of rock band members as they find, and sometimes lose, the loves of their lives.

Born and raised a Jersey girl, I now reside in the mountains of beautiful New Hampshire with my husband and our multitude of furry pets and spend most of my time writing, reading, and vacuuming.
