TOP READ OF 2017

“The day your child is born, a mother is born too. And we’re all born in the same way: excited, clueless and terrified. But, you figure it out because that’s what parents do.”

OMG! Every mom needs to read this book! Thank you, B.L. Berry, for the most wonderful, emotional book. I laughed, I cried! It’s a romance and the journey of going from a couple to a family. Henley and Jeff could really be any couple. There is no angst or drama, except the drama and fear of becoming first time parents. Berry had me laughing from the beginning when Henley and Jeff meet for the very first time until the delivery room scene..it was priceless.

While I loved the romance, Berry had a deeper message…there is no “perfect” mother. We should appreciate the differences in each other and support each other, not judge one another. There is no other group I would rather be a part of than being a mother. On a personal note, I have one son in college and one who will be graduating high school this spring. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, B.L. Berry, in reminding me of the joys of motherhood. As Henley says,

“Whoever says they don’t believe in love at first sight has never held their own newborn child in their arms. Because in an instant, I am enamored, and live revolves around her.”

She is absolutely 100 percent correct. Life revolves around your children. There is never a harder, nor more rewarding job I have ever had in my life. As I head toward the end of the fourth semester, I find myself missing those chaotic days of no sleep and messy diapers. What a phenomenal book about mothers!!!

About the Author

BL Berry grew up telling lies. Eventually, those lies turned into elaborate stories and when she grew older she started writing them down. When she’s not hiding behind her computer writing, you can find her spending time with her family or catching up on her favorite TV shows. Rumor has it she’ll sleep when she’s dead.

Residing outside of Kansas City, she lives with her husband, two children and black pug. Each day her family thanks the makers of e-Readers, because without which they would be living amongst stacks and stacks of romance novels. Conversely, each day B.L. Berry thanks the makers of e-Readers for hiding her book-hoarding tendencies.
