Would you switch lives with someone you just met?
Sabrina Monroe is poised and ready for her future as Mrs. Todd Edward Blakely. Everything seems perfect, but on the big day, suddenly she’s not so sure. Her nicely mapped out life ahead of her, she finds herself in her own movie scene as the runaway bride, climbing out of the bathroom window. All she can think is escape.
Addison Bloom needs a life makeover. She’s travelled the world to find love–and failed. On her way back from yet another friend’s wedding, she starts to feel ill at the mere thought of seeing another veil that’s not hers. Should she go back home and marry her former sweetheart, or stick it out looking for love in her new home?
Sabrina and Addison are both on the run, wanting to escape to a new life. As the two strangers talk at an airport, discovering they have the same job at opposite ends of the country, a crazy idea unfolds–one which might provide the answers they’ve both been looking for.
Is there such a thing as a One Way Ticket to a new life, or will they find they’re running from themselves, not just the past?

CHRISTIE’S REVIEW
5 STARS
One Way Ticket by Melissa Baldwin and Kate O’Keeffe was a wonderful romantic comedy. When I read the synopsis, I knew I it was going to be a great book because of the plot, and I was right!
Sabrina and Addison meet in an airport. Addi is flying back to Orlando from yet another wedding that wasn’t hers. Sabrina is running through DFW airport escaping from her wedding. As Addi helps Sabrina, the two talk and find out they both have a lot in common. Both are florists, Addi’s shop in Orlando, and Sabrina’s in San Francisco. In addition, both want to escape their realities for just a little while. Each think how wonderful it would be to just leave their lives for just a little bit, so the two come up with a crazy plan….switch lives. Addi will live in Sabrina’s apartment and run her shop, and Sabrina will do the same thing. How hard could that be? Things are going smoothly until each one meet men who could definitely complicate things.
As I wrote earlier, I loved the concept of the book. With great characters and great writing, this writing duo have come up with a perfect romantic comedy. Every chapter is told in either Addi’s or Sabrina’s POV. Not only did it give a deeper insight to the character, but it also allowed me to see each of their new experiences through their eyes. I could feel their excitement of being in a new city, and I especially felt their emotions from meeting the new men in their lives. Each woman was a woman that I would want to be friends with. One of the best things about the book was a twist the authors threw in. It definitely makes for an even more interesting read.
It’s been a while since I have read a good romantic, chick lit book, and I’m so glad I discovered this talented duo. I can’t wait to read more from them.
