A Warriner To Seduce Her
by Virginia Heath
A sensible schoolmistress… Awakened by the notorious rake!
In this The Wild Warriners story, schoolmistress Felicity Blunt feels old beyond her years―and desperately dull. Meeting confirmed rake Jacob Warriner brings her gloriously alive, and yet no matter his allure she must remain immune to his obvious charms and unashamed flirtation. But is Jacob merely a mischievous scoundrel? Or is there much more to this Warriner than meets the eye…?
What a great ending to the series!
I have come to know all the other Warriner brothers intimately. Now, it was my turn to know Jake. I have to tell you he may be my favorite. My heart broke into pieces for him in the prologue. Once you read it, you will understand why. He becomes a man who doesn’t like dealing with human emotions. He isn’t a man who gives his heart away to anyone with the exception of his brothers and their families. He can’t risk it. He has to protect himself at all costs until Fliss enters his life. She will make him face his past and quite possibly heal his broken heart if he will let her.
As with all the other books, this one is told from different POVs which I love as it gives added insight into the characters, especially Fliss. She is a schoolmistress yet underneath that exterior is a fiery, passionate woman that gets under Jake’s skin. She has him rattled when she doesn’t fall for his charm. What he doesn’t know is she is very attracted to him. However, she has no intention of letting him know that. I don’t want to go into too much about their relationship as there is intrigue and adventure involved. No need to spoil that. Just know, that Fliss will eventually see past his flirty, rakish nature. She will see and appreciate the bond he shares with his brothers, the love he has for his nieces and nephews, how he really listens to others, and his love and protectiveness of her.
The romance is both sweet and sexy, especially when these two act on their attraction. It is also a story of intrigue and spies. Most importantly, it is a book about the love of family!
Perhaps Heath will give her fans books about the next generation of Warriners. Now, that would be quite entertaining. That much is evident in the last few paragraphs of the book!!!!
When Virginia Heath was a little girl it took her ages to fall asleep, so she made up stories in her head to help pass the time while she was staring at the ceiling. As she got older, the stories became more complicated, sometimes taking weeks to get to the happy ending. Then one day, she decided to embrace the insomnia and start writing them down. Fortunately, the lovely people at Harlequin Mills & Boon took pity on her and decided to publish her romances, but it still takes her forever to fall asleep.
