Until We Are Gone, an all-new
Standalone Emotional Romance by Gia Riley is NOW LIVE!!
Or so I’m told.
I don’t remember anything about my husband. Not the wedding or the vows we
The past ten years were erased and with time, they’re supposed to come back.
But this isn’t your typical case of amnesia
What if I’m not supposed to remember?
What if I was meant to forget?
Maybe I don’t want my old life back.
Because if the accident hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have uncovered the truth.
Losing my memory wasn’t tragic.
Losing my memory was fate.
I love everything written by Gia Riley and this one is no exception!!
Meadow wakes in the hospital but doesn’t recognize the man at her bedside, holding her hand. She finds out he is her husband, Cash, but has no recollection of him or the past several years of her life. Meadow and Cash are hopeful that the amnesia may only be temporary and as soon as she is well enough, she goes home with Cash to recover from her injuries. A few months later, her memory is no closer to coming back but Meadow knows she is not happy with Cash and the life she now has. The only way to escape the pain in her mind and heart is to lose herself in the bottle. When she blacks out, she at least has the memories of her beloved grandmother to comfort her.
Cash cannot convince Meadow to love him again and is fighting a losing battle trying to get Meadow to adjust to this life with him. He spends his days and nights in a war with her and her newfound addiction to alcohol. He never knows what is going to happen next with Meadow’s erratic behavior but will do anything to get her to stay. Cash knows that rehab is Meadow’s only hope at this point but if he forces her to go, will she resent him forever?
Will Meadow’s memory return? Will Cash and Meadow find their way back to each other?
When I started reading this book, my heart was pulled in one direction but in the back of my mind, I kept wondering about what Meadow couldn’t remember. This book took some twists and turns that were completely unexpected. I loved the journey Meadow took to rediscover her happiness and feel she got the ending she deserved. Gia Riley is never afraid to deal with serious issues, real addictions and struggles, but always does so with style and grace and this book is no different. I will always be a huge fan of Gia and look forward to reading what she comes up with next.
