Series: The Illusion Series #1
Release Date: November 3, 2016
About the Book
Bestselling author Amelia Greyson has grown up in the music industry and isn’t the slightest bit fazed by fame or celebrities. However, when she attends a Bastards and Dangerous concert with her best friend Belle, her world shifts on its axis.
Sawyer and Noah Weston are the front men of BAD. They’re fraternal twins and sexy as sin. When they hear the author of The O Factor is in their green room, they’re intrigued. She’s just the person they need to write their farewell story. The brothers offer Amelia the opportunity of a lifetime, which she reluctantly accepts.
Noah is sweet and considerate, working hard to make Amelia feel at home on the road. Unfortunately, the closer they get, the more obnoxious Sawyer becomes. Sawyer is arrogant and distant and he wants Amelia, even though she’s not his for the taking. Only during stolen moments does Sawyer show her who he really is.
Can Amelia maintain a safe distance from Sawyer and keep her heart intact? Or will she shatter Noah’s heart by giving hers to his brother instead?
An All-Time Favorite
OMG!!! What an awesome start to a brand-new series from D. Kelly! Just an Illusion has romance, steam, not one, but two sexy male leads, angst, secrets, and suspense! Be prepared, once you start this one, you won’t get anything else done until the last page is finished!
Three hearts…two brothers and one woman. Amelia is a best-selling author who accompanies her best friend to a rock concert for the famous rock band, BAD. She’s not really a fan, but she agrees because her friend, Belle, will be interviewing them after the concert. She wants to be there to support her friend. She has no idea how this one night will forever change her life. She will get an offer she can’t refuse, and she will find herself having strong feelings for not one brother but two.
As usual, D. Kelly brings her characters to life and makes her readers really LOVE them. Noah and Sawyer are fraternal twins who began the group, BAD, years ago. They couldn’t be more different. Noah is sweet and makes Amelia feel safe. Amelia knows how much he cares about her; he makes it very obvious. Sawyer is crude and obnoxious and gets under Amelia’s skin. He knows which buttons to push. However, Amelia can see glimpses of the person he really is but allows no one else to see. She has no problem putting him in his place. As she spends more time with him, there are times she really sees that side to him which causes her to feel things for him, in addition to her strong lust for him. Others notice it too and love that she is helping the old Sawyer emerge again. Amelia is a character that really found a special place in my heart. She’s been hurt, but instead of staying in that place, she has worked incredibly hard to move past it and live her life. Now, if she can just find her HEA.
I haven’t mentioned much about the story itself. I’ll leave that to you, readers, to discover that because I don’t want to spoil a thing for you…it’s just too good! I didn’t see the suspense coming, but I loved it! It made it even better! It does end on a cliffhanger, but I love cliffhangers. I love knowing there will be more to a story. Kelly kind of gives you that hint with the title, Side A. Can’t wait to read Side B. D. Kelly has long been one of my favorite writers, but I must admit this one is my favorite!
