Trapped and Liberated

by Bree Wolf

An English lady. A French privateer. And a chance encounter that was destined to be.

Long ago, ALEXANDRA WINTERS, LADY SILCOX, dreamed of love and the one man who would steal her heart. However, when her family needs her to agree to a sensible match in order to see her brother happily married, Alexandra gives up on finding love for herself.

Today, Alexandra is trapped in an arranged marriage, her hope for love dashed, and her only happiness comes from the little girl she gave birth to six years ago.
Until one night when destiny leads Alexandra down to the beach below Silcox Manor and into the arms of a French privateer.

After years of biding his time, ANTOINE DURET is finally made Captain of the Destinée, a French privateer. All his life, he has dreamed of nothing but sailing the seas, ignoring his father’s mumblings of finding the woman destined for him. Although he loves his family and enjoys taking his nephew on board, Antoine cannot imagine tying himself to another.
Until one night when an irresistible pull guides him to an English beach and a young lady tumbles into his arms.

Can there be a happily-ever-after for an English lady and a French privateer? Or is love truly just a myth that has no place in the real world?

~4.5 STARS~

Trapped and Liberated is the story of Alexandra and Antoine. Alexandra dreams of falling in love and finding a man that loves her just as much as she loves him. Those dreams crumble when she chooses her family over love. Antoine isn’t looking for love. All he dreams about is being captain of his own ship. All that changes the fateful night they meet. What could an English lady and French privateer have in common? Funny how love and destiny always has the answer….

Some people would see Alexandra as weak, accepting what was given to her in a society in which women had no rights. As I read more, I saw that she was a very brave woman, making the only choice she could for her daughter.

Antoine has no intention of giving his heart to anyone even though his father tells him one day he will find his true love. One night he feels a pull toward a beach in England for some reason. He can’t explain it, but he knows why once he lays eyes on Alexandra. It’s instant and powerful.

I was so glad to finally get Violet’s mother’s story. I was always mesmerized and curious about the woman who created such strong, independent daughter. Violet’s story is told in Condemned and Admired. The title for this book was perfect: Trapped and Liberated….that is the story of our beautiful Alexandra.

Sweet story about a woman and a man who share a magical love story and will make you believe in love at first sight and happy endings!

About Bree

USA Today bestselling author, Bree Wolf has always been a language enthusiast (though not a grammarian!) and is rarely found without a book in her hand or her fingers glued to a keyboard. Trying to find her way, she has taught English as a second language, traveled abroad and worked at a translation agency as well as a law firm in Ireland. She also spent loooong years obtaining a BA in English and Education and an MA in Specialized Translation while wishing she could simply be a writer. Although there is nothing simple about being a writer, her dreams have finally come true.

“A big thanks to my fairy godmother!”

Currently, Bree has found her new home in the historical romance genre, writing Regency novels and novellas. Enjoying the mix of fact and fiction, she occasionally feels like a puppet master (or mistress? Although that sounds weird!), forcing her characters into ever-new situations that will put their strength, their beliefs, their love to the test, hoping that in the end they will triumph and get the happily-ever-after we are all looking for.
