Even though there is past hurt and anger towards each other, the chemistry and passion is ever present in Erin and Zander’s interactions. It isn’t long before they find themselves in bed and making up for lost time. But once the situation is resolved with Erin’s mother will Erin and Zander once again say goodbye? Or will they realize why they haven’t been able to move on in 4 years and want it bad enough to fight for it?

This book kept my interest from beginning to end! I loved Erin and Zander and was hopeful for their second chance at love from the start. I loved the intense chemistry between these two and some of the scenes were steaming HOT!! My only wish is that the epilogue could have been longer or wrapped the story up better.  While this is the 3rd book in the Rule Breakers series, it is a standalone.  This is the first book I have read by Jennifer Chance but will definitely not be my last!!

When you go to bed at night and are thinking of ways a book is going to play out or what could happen to the characters after you’re done with a book, you know you’ve read a good book. This is exactly what happened to me. I finished this book and couldn’t stop thinking of Heath and Harlow, I was coming up with all different things that could happen with these two. I would recommend this book to any of my friends to read, hoping they end up like me 😉 sleepless and dying to know what happens next.

Harlow Montmarte is looking for an adventure before she has to go through the torture of going to her debutante ball. She couldn’t have picked a better time to go either, since she just found out that her boyfriend was cheating on her with her best friend. So now she’s off to California to have the time of her life. However she never expected Heath Dillinger. He’s a very sexy lead singer of a band and is a totally womanizer. He won’t seem to leave her alone, but she’s no interested in a relationship, so he’ll just have to have her as a friend. They can be friends….. Right?

Heath Dillinger is one sexy beast. He knows his reputation around town and isn’t ashamed of it. It’s not his fault this girls all expected something he never promises. He’s just looking for a good time. But his world turns upside down when he sees Harlow. There’s just something about this woman that keeps pulling him to her. He totally wants to bang her, but all she’s offering is friendship. That’ll be easy though, he can do friendship…. Maybe…

These two fight their attraction to other so hard (well Harlow does). But when they come together for the first time, holy hotness! But once they get together, can they stay together? Will Heath’s past come back to haunt him and ruin everything, or will Harlow’s? Will they be able to pull back together after a bump in the road?

It was so hard for me to put this book down. Like I said before, when I had to put it down, all I could think about is what would or could happen next. Definitely a must read, and I’m anxiously waiting to see what happens next with Heath and Harlow!

I have always written stories for as long as I can remember. I wrote my first book when I was five years old. It was called ‘The Goodies’ and it was a short story about driving to the shops to get some milk. Needless to say, it was a very short book and hardly the page turner. It was also illustrated in orange felt tip pen because it was the only felt tip pen left in the pencil case that wasn’t dried up and useless.

My first attempt at writing romance was in high school when my athletic ambitions were replaced with Sunday sessions in my bestfriends bedroom, smoking cigarettes and writing smut about the hot guy at school. They were dreadfully crude stories. Lots of awkward fumblings in the dark or a series of awful first kisses. They were also very straight forward. Very straight to the point. Because I didn’t have a clue about what I was talking about. And I used terrible words such as “shaft”, “her moist warmth” and “velvet cavern”…yeah, they were awesome!

In following years I wisely gave up the cigarettes, became Mum to the “best kid in the world” and married a vastly understanding and supportive soul who tolerated the complete absence of my inner domestic goddess. Through a lot of trial and error, I think I may have started to write stories other people would want to read … without an orange felt tip pen in sight…

Have you ever been at such a low point in your life when you saw the light to the other side? I thought it was something that people experienced when they were old and gray and had lived a life full of hopes, dreams, accomplishments, and family. I never thought that the angel would come for me at twenty-five. It’s my birthday.

It’s also the day I die.

She’s here. I can see the light around her and feel the warmth of her presence, amber liquid pouring too quickly over my head. The heat flows between my legs.

What’s happening? So much blood leaves my body. I can’t feel pain. I see only light and crimson. This is my end, but I’m not ready. I have so many things left unfinished, so many mistakes to correct. This is all my fault. The baby will die and I did this.

He will never forgive me. I need to see him one more time. I need to tell him the truth. He needs to understand what happened. I thought life would be different. I thought I had more time. If only I had more time.
