Nate Thompson has met the heart-stopping girl of his dreams. There’s just one problem. The man who he just started to know as his dad is marrying her mom. Best possible solution? Join the Army. Go as far away as possible and stay as long as it takes to forget her. By the time he returns, she’ll be off the market, and he won’t have to deal with the untimely feelings he has for his new stepsister. At least, that was the plan.

Claire Carter is just trying to get through nursing school while maintaining a relationship with her uncommitted college boyfriend. Her immediate plan is to graduate, start a career and solidify her relationship status before Nate returns. Then these forbidden feelings for him will no longer matter.

But she promised to write to him while he was gone. How was she to know those letters would bring him home to her?

As a warm breeze drifted in from the lake, Nick – the man Nate was just beginning to know as dad, was dancing with his new bride, Maggie. They were surrounded by Nick’s buddies from the Air Force as well as close friends and even more family. To the left of the dance floor was Maggie’s son, Trevor, with his beautiful wife, Katie. As far as stepbrothers go, Nate couldn’t be happier with the connection they instantly made. He had already proven to be a great friend in the six months they had known each other.

As his eyes moved around the crowd, he immediately spotted Maggie’s daughter where she was dancing with Aspen, her college boyfriend. Aspen was droopy-eyed drunk, and his well-manicured hands were wandering a little lower than appropriate for a family wedding. But rather than intervene, Nate just watched from his hiding place under the tree. Besides, it was good entertainment watching Aspen and his many failed attempts at more than a kiss.

When the couple turned, he locked eyes with his new stepsister. She spotted him through the crowd, tilted her head and smiled. And just like every other time Claire Carter looked his way, his chest swelled and a now familiar burn blazed up his spine, causing a bead of sweat to appear on his brow. Fuck.

Breaking eye contact, Nate glanced at his watch, crumpled the plastic cup and tossed it in a nearby trash can before heading to the small corner bar. He needed something stronger than wedding punch to settle the pounding in his chest. Claire was officially under his skin, and she had only been his stepsister for six short hours. Time to douse the flame with something stronger or find somebody to share his misery with.

4-stars

Enjoyable quick-paced romance! Nate Thompson has met the woman of his dreams. She happens to be one of the nurses at the hospital where his mother is spending her last days. She has been a source of support and someone for him to lean on since he has no siblings. Just one thing…he soon finds out that his father is alive and well, and Claire will soon be his stepsister. They share some passionate moments before he leaves for the Army. He is hoping to forget her, but he can’t. She can’t forget him either. Two years pass when he finally returns home, and those feelings are still there. Will they finally give happiness a chance?

I liked both characters and both Claire’s mother and Nate’s father. They were definitely characters I could relate to. He is sexy, but he has a heart of gold. He stood by his mother, and readily accepted the father he didn’t know was alive. He puts Claire on a pedestal and respects her. Claire is beautiful, yet she is intelligent. She, like Nate, has a heart of gold. Nursing was definitely the right profession for her. I loved the romance between Claire and Nate. Their chemistry is off the charts. While this is the third book in the series, I had no trouble following along. However, I do wish I had read the two earlier novels beforehand. I do plan on reading those soon! This one was the perfect combination of sexy and sweet!

Book 1: Broken & Beloved

Book2: Injury & Ecstasy

I’m a die hard romantic. I like all the hearts and flowers; all the hand holding and breathless kisses. My writing is straight forward feel-good romance. When I sit down to read I want to feel something inside, so I try very hard to give that to my readers as well. When I write, I like to disappear into a story and decide when the first kiss happens, or when the story climaxes and how the happily ever after will take place. It’s fun to see how the voices in my head come to life on paper. I began writing as a creative outlet. Once the first book was finished, I realized there was much more waiting to come out.

Wow!!! I’m stunned. Lisa Suzanne has done it yet AGAIN! I didn’t think she could make my heart pound more than the first book, but she did!!!!

I don’t want to go into too much detail. I don’t want to ruin anything for people who haven’t read the first book yet! From the synopsis, you know that Reese is torn between two brothers, Mark, the rockstar, and Brian, the successful businessman. Some readers might be turned off by the content, but you should really read this series! Lisa Suzanne handles it with class and emotion. As you can imagine, there is A LOT of drama! Again, Suzanne really tugged at my heart. I never thought I could feel bad for a woman who is in Reese’s position, but I do. She truly struggles with her feelings. She loves both men, and she knows she will have to choose one. She doesn’t want to hurt either one. Mark and Brian both have good qualities and some not so good, but nothing horrible. Both men are human with normal human flaws, just as Reese is. I have been Team Mark from the beginning, but I don’t want Brian to be hurt either.

As with the first book in the series, this one ends in a shocker! I truly cannot wait to see what Lisa Suzanne has in store for us with her next book! October cannot get here fast enough! Looking for a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat, try this series! It’s fantastic!!!!

A MUST READ!!!!!

5 Stars for The Sweetness of Life! You can’t get any better than romance, some spice, wine, and good food!!!!

Shelby has always had the dream of getting a job on Food Network. She is on her way as a co-owner of a successful restaurant in Charleston, SC and a blog. She is also a critic and a chef. She has good friends but no love life to speak of. Her one set-up by her friend was disastrous. The guy was good looking but treated her horribly on their first and last date.

Zach is a former football player, and now is trying to save his family’s winery in Dahlonega, Georgia. He will do anything to salvage his business after a critic left a horrible review of it. Yeah, he HATES critics, so when he found out the woman he was set up with on a date was a food critic, he ended really before it started without knowing whether she was the guilty critic. In his mind, they are all guilty and evil!

Now, Zach and Shelby are being given a once in a lifetime chance to reach their dreams, but they have no idea they are meeting each other again after that disastrous date. They have no warm feelings whatsoever for each other. Yes, the sparks fly. Underneath all that animosity is an incredible attraction. They aren’t sure whether to strangle one another or to rip each other’s clothes off! This is where the romance and spice comes in!

I liked both characters. They were both driven, intelligent, and stubborn! I just wanted them to get their heads out of the sand and see what was right in front of them, and that they could possibly realize their dreams together. Zach was oh so sexy and was even sexier when Shelby would get him all wound up. Their chemistry sizzled and gave me butterflies! Not only was the romance great, but the story, itself, was awesome. It was extremely well-written with fantastic secondary characters. Like I wrote earlier, it was full of good wine and good food. I learned some things I didn’t know about wine and how well certain wines and foods paired together…just like Zach and Shelby. My mouth watered with all the good food, and recipes were included at the end of each chapter…YES!!! I loved the setting both in South Carolina and Georgia. I am a born and bred South Carolina girl, and I live in Northwest Georgia, so I know both places really well. Both are just as beautiful as Andrews described them.

I always love when a title reflects what the core of the book is about, and Andrews couldn’t have chosen a better title…The Sweetness of Life. We all have dreams like Zach and Shelby, but sometimes those change into ones we never even considered. When you find the person to live those dreams with make life all the more sweeter!!!! I’m anxiously awaiting the next book in the series!

Once again, Mackenzie sees firsthand how strong Hunter’s love and determination can really be. But is that enough? Will their lives ever be the same again?

I’m a contemporary romance writer, who likes her men tattooed, her women independent and her coffee strong.

My stories are all about love, but some are of the romantic kind, some of the sad kind and others of the very steamy kind. So if you can stand drama, foul language and sex, you came to the right place.

Dark Control by Annabel Joseph

Release Date: September 25th, 2017

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Not all fantasies are safe, sane, and consensual. Welcome to the world of The Gallery…

Juliet meets Fort St. Clair on a miserable, drunken night, and wakes up the next morning cuffed to his guest room bed. Of course, Fort would never take advantage of her. No, the pleasure and pain he wants to inflict on her body must be negotiated in advance, because once Juliet sets foot in his private, exclusive dungeon, she belongs to him.

BDSM at The Gallery is supposed to be a straightforward arrangement, an affair by the rules, but Juliet and Fort’s growing connection brings unexpected emotions they can’t control. She’s the free spirit who transforms his rigid world, and he’s the Dominant she can finally trust—or can she?

I crossed to join him on the sofa, leaving some space between us for the questions and uneasiness to fit. He put his cup on the table behind him, then reached across the space to touch the top of my knee. His fingers trailed over the place he’d grabbed me last night, lightly, nothing sexual now. He wanted to discuss things. A future for us, maybe.

Next, he tilted my neck, inspecting the place where he’d bit me, his touch lingering like he might still soothe the pain. “No marks,” he said. “At least nothing obvious. You feel okay?”

“Yes, I feel fine.” I felt more than fine. God, I felt a million things. “How do you feel?” I asked, turning the question back on him.

“Conflicted,” he said, coming right out with it. “Here’s the thing about last night. What I did to you up against the wall in that work room…that was me on my best behavior. That was me being a gentleman.”

“Was it?” I took a sip of my tea now that it was cooler. “It felt pretty nice.”

“I can be worse. I usually am when it comes to sex.”

“Hmm.” I took another sip of tea to process, rolling the vanilla and cinnamon flavors on my tongue. “You mean you can be even rougher?”

“Rougher, colder, more intense. I’m a Dominant, but it’s more accurate to call me a sexual sadist. I like to hurt women and force them to do things for my pleasure. It’s how I prefer to get off.”

“I understand about BDSM.”

He shook his head. “You understand mainstream BDSM, the safe, sane, consensual stuff they do at Underworld. You’re into the romance of it, the slap and tickle to get off. To me, that’s going through the motions. It’s not real. Well, not real enough.”

I met his gaze, wondering what he meant by that. Not real enough?

“It’s hard to explain,” he went on, an edge of frustration in his voice. “Especially to a BDSM baby like you.”

“A BDSM baby?” I protested. “Maybe I’m a mess, but I’m not a baby. I’ve been submissive for years. I’ve done a lot of scenes, experimented with a lot of things.”

“I’m not trying to insult you. I’m trying to explain. You’ve been with a few Doms, you’ve participated in the lifestyle, but at the end of the day, you’re looking for pleasure, a good time.” He grimaced. “I’m into something different.”

“You don’t like having a good time? How does that work?” I blinked in confusion. “Why do you do whatever the hell you do if it’s not fun?”

“It’s fun to me. Dark fun, though.” He shifted, pushing back his hair. “I do BDSM for the rush and release. I like to push boundaries, and hang out with other people who like to push boundaries. Places like Underworld only scratch the surface of power exchange. I belong to a private club where people…go a little further.”

“So…” I put my tea on the low table in front of us. “This is why you’re not good for me? Your sadism is the reason you believe we won’t work out?”

“It’s hard for me to work out with anyone, Juliet. Except, you know, the women who come to the private club. I can be as rough as I want, as cruel as I want, and they want more.”

I looked away from him, biting my lip, considering how to reply. “Do you think…” I turned back to him. “Do you think I didn’t want more last night? Do you think I responded badly to your force?”

He held my gaze. “I think you responded wonderfully. That’s why I’m sitting here on your couch, drinking tea with you, which I literally fucking hate.” He picked up his cup as if to illustrate his point, pounded the rest of his tea, and swallowed with a disgusted face. “I hate tea, Jewels. More than anything in the world.”

“I’m sorry.”

“I’m not sorry. I only meant to say hi to you last night, but it went further than that, and now we have to decide…”

“Decide if we’re going to go further still?” I looked at him from under my lashes. “How often do you go to your private club to do dark, sadistic, non-fun things?”

“Often enough,” he said tightly. “And I don’t always play with the same women. It’s not a relationship thing, where we all pair up into couples.”

“It’s a sex club thing.”

He shrugged. “It’s scratching a mutual itch with no emotional expectations. So it’s not for everyone, especially emotional types. When the wrong people get caught up in that kind of lifestyle, the results aren’t pretty. That’s why I’ve been trying to stay away from you, even though I find you painfully attractive.”

“Painfully attractive.” I sniffed and sipped my tea. “Can’t hurt me, can’t live without me.”

“It’s not a joke, Juliet.”

“I know.” If it were a joke, I wouldn’t feel such lust and confusion, such horrible curiosity. “You could show me the kind of dark stuff you like to do,” I suggested. “You could invite me to this club to see what goes on, and I could tell you how I felt about it.”

“Spectators aren’t allowed. Only vetted people are allowed at the club, so there aren’t any misunderstandings.”

“Oh.” At this point, I understood what he was trying to say. Even after last night’s scorching-hot hookup, he thought we might be terminally non-compatible.

He reached for my hand and held it hard. His deep hazel eyes hit me full force, his lips pressed in a line. “I’m trying to protect you,” he said. “Since I can’t…” Those eyes raked over me, leaving me feeling stripped. “Since I can’t enter into any kind of…”

“Relationship,” I provided.

“Any kind of relationship with you, especially the sweet, emotional relationship you probably want…”

I let out a long breath. “That’s fucked up. You don’t know me well enough to know what kind of relationship I want. Honest talk: I wanted sex from you from that first sober morning I met you, and I got it.” I stood with my cup and saucer, carrying my tepid tea over to the sink. It had too much sugar. It was too sweet, like me. “I don’t have any judgment about your…your thing. Your sexual sadism, your private club, your playboy ways.”

“Playboy ways,” he repeated in an amused mutter.

“At the same time, I think you’re kind of an asshole. If you don’t want a relationship with me, don’t ask me to dinner at the Ivy. Don’t invite my boss to be part of your ad campaign, and then drop by his art show to fuck me against a wall after weeks without contact.”

“I tried to call you after the Ivy. You blocked my number, Sparkles.”

I glared at him from the kitchen. “Sparkles?

“To go with Jewels. To go with your eyes when you get really emo and intense.”

I picked up a dishtowel and started aggressively wiping invisible spots on the counter. “I had to block your number, Fort. No offense to you personally. I’m just at the point where I have to be more careful about the men I let into my life.”

“As you should be.” He stood to bring me his cup, his expression turned serious. “I try to be careful too. I try to maintain boundaries when I think someone might be easily hurt.”

My eyes widened. “Me? You think I’m some fragile flower? I’m just super sensitive to bullshit right now.”

He didn’t reply, only watched me with his lofty, level gaze. A sadist? Definitely. He could hurt me in so many ways, and those were only the ways I knew about.

“Come here, Sparkles,” he said from across the counter.

“My name’s not Sparkles.”

“Come here, Juliet.”

I wanted to say no. I wanted to make some more hot tea and dash his most-hated mixture in his face.

No, I wanted to go to him. His expression was kind, if resigned. His arms opened for me. I walked around the counter and let him embrace me. He pressed his cheek against my forehead and stroked my back.

“You’d hate it,” he said. “You’d hate what I’m into.”

“I didn’t hate it last night.”

“I was careful with you last night.” He tilted my head back and brushed fingers across my temples and through my hair. “We have this rule at the club: never fuck with the vulnerable. We’re not allowed to hook up with women who are emotionally or physically complicated, women we might damage. We can’t even bring them into the space. It’s like an honor system.”

I tugged my chin from his fingers and looked away.

“I figured out why I like you,” he went on. “I figured out why I want you so much. It’s because you’re all on the surface. Your emotions are right there, plain as day, all the time. You don’t give a fuck about saying what you feel and being who you are. You have this open expression, this way of looking at me and at other people. And you dress however you want.”

“What’s wrong with the way I dress?”

His eyes glanced over the blue fur headband I wore. “I love the way you dress. I love the way that headband matches your eyes, but not your clothes.”

“These are my Sunday hangout clothes,” I said, pouting. “They’re not supposed to look hot and put together like your freaking designer suits.”

He held me against his chest, running his big hands up and down my back. “Just shut up for a minute, because I don’t know what to do with you. I don’t know what to do about what happened last night…”

Lila Callan had an unconventional upbringing—unavoidable when your mother owns a brothel. But while she’d inherited some of her parents’ ‘wacky and offbeat’, she was also strong, independent and incredibly intelligent. The fact she was tall, beautiful and blond was a bonus she never really cared to exploit. She wasn’t uptight; it’s just that long term was more her thing, with zero interest in one-night stands.

Until she met Ryan York and then she isn’t so sure.

Blindingly good looking.
Insane body.
Infectious sense of humor.
And charm for days.
Ryan York was movie star material.
Except that he wasn’t.

He’d turned his back on the idea of hitting the big time, more content with being Eric Larsson’s—his best friend who was a movie star—right-hand man. Despite his laid-back persona, he was a guy who could get stuff done. And women lined up to be done by Ryan. He did not have a problem with that. Not. At. All.

Except his magical panty dropping powers didn’t seem to extend to the lovely Lila. And she wasn’t sure if she was going to teach the #1 player a new game, or find one herself.

One way or another, they were both getting naked.

EXCERPT

I hated early mornings.

The darkness outside, the puff of visible breath that expelled from my lungs every time I opened my mouth—it was like starring in my own horror movie. My lack of sleep, contributing to the carnage.

And let’s not even talk about what obscene hour I had to wake up so I could shower and make myself look human. There was no way was I stepping off the plane in a pair of yoga pants and a messy hair bun when Ryan freaking York would be on the other side of the journey. But even though my pulse spiked and my nether regions clenched just at the mention of his name, turning into a Disney caricature, whistling happy tunes about catching the early worm or some shit wasn’t happening. There was only so much joy I was capable of before ten a.m. and I was currently maxed out.

The minute I’d arrived, I immediately regretted my outfit choice. The leather jacket, knee-high boots and dress I’d worn when I’d left my apartment had been perfect for a fall New York morning. But in California, I was roasting alive as I wrestled my way through the airport to the meeting point.

“Hey, princess.” Ryan slipped his shades down the bridge of his nose, peeking over the lenses as the rumble made its way up his throat. “I heard you’re looking for a ride.”

Oh. Help. Me. Jesus.

Every single muscle in my body seized at the sound of his voice, my legs freezing in place as my eyes ran up and down the length of his body. He was gorgeous, smoldering in a pair of faded jeans and a T-shirt that hugged every curve of his abs like my tongue was aching to do.

His eyes were on me, doing a survey of their own, as a sexy smirk played on his lips. And while my brain knew flirting was his baseline, my hormones ignored that detail, my girlie bits salivating more than one of Pavlov’s dogs.

About T. Gephart

T Gephart is an indie author from Melbourne, Australia.

T’s approach to life has been somewhat unconventional. Rather than going to University, she jumped on a plane to Los Angeles, USA in search of adventure. While this first trip left her somewhat underwhelmed and largely depleted of funds it fueled her appetite for travel and life experience.

With a rather eclectic resume, which reads more like the fiction she writes than an actual employment history, T struggled to find her niche in the world.

While on a subsequent trip the United States in 1999, T met and married her husband. Their whirlwind courtship and interesting impromptu convenience store wedding set the tone for their life together, which is anything but ordinary. They have lived in Louisiana, Guam and Australia and have travelled extensively throughout the US. T has two beautiful young children and one four legged child, Woodley the wonder dog.

An avid reader, T became increasingly frustrated by the lack of strong female characters in the books she was reading. She wanted to read about a woman she could identify with, someone strong, independent and confident who didn’t lack femininity. Out of this need, she decided to pen her first book, A Twist of Fate. She enjoyed the process so much that when it was over she couldn’t let it go.

T loves to travel, laugh and surround herself with colourful characters. This inevitably spills into her writing and makes for an interesting journey – she is well and truly enjoying the ride!

Based on her life experiences, T has plenty of material for her books and has a wealth of ideas to keep you all enthralled.

About the Author

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life — a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, though she’s certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey.

From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

Hail No (Hail Raisers #1) by Lani Lynn Vale Release Blitz

Title: Hail No

Series: Hail Raisers #1

Author: Lani Lynn Vale

Genre: MC Romance

Release: September 27, 2017

Evander Lennox doesn’t do anything he doesn’t want to do. At least, that is, until he’s sent to prison. The four years he’s incarcerated, he’s had no choice but to do the things that he’s asked to do, when he’s asked to do them. And now, if he doesn’t, it will mean a one-way ticket straight back to hell.

Once he’s free, it takes him twenty-four hours to get his old job back, his dog at home where he belongs, and an understanding that people aren’t as forgiving as he once thought them to be. He’s just about given up hope of ever integrating back into society when a woman slams into his heart, literally and figuratively

***

Kennedy Swallow just wants to belong somewhere.

When she was younger, her parents divorced, and chose to separate her from her twin. Fast forward fifteen years, and she’s finally getting to meet the family she’s always wanted to be a part of. To make that happen, she uproots her life and moves to the tiny town of Hostel, Texas—giving her almost everything she’s ever wanted.

Just when she thinks she’s making progress in winning her family over, she finds out that her twin is ill, and the only reason her family tolerates her is due to the convenience of having a free caretaker whenever they might be in need of one.

After a few eye-opening experiences, she quickly realizes that she’s being used. Vowing to herself that she’ll make the best of the situation, she begins to steel her heart. What she doesn’t prepare for is a man named Evander who sees that barrier as a challenge.

***

It takes Evander all of ten seconds while watching the woman on the floor, bleeding from her jaw, to realize that maybe life isn’t as bad as it could be.

This woman with her thrill for life, a crazy obsession with chickens, and a desire to be wanted, changes everything he thinks he knows.

But it doesn’t take long for him to realize that just by being around her, the people of the town have judged her guilty by association.

Her business suffers, and soon after, she realizes what it will mean to have him by her side—the loss of everything she’s worked so hard for.

Kennedy knows that Evander is worth it. Evander, however, decides that he’s not letting another person get hurt because he was stupid enough to care.

I’m a married mother of three. My kids are all under 5, so I can assure you that they are a handful. I’ve been with my paramedic husband now for ten years, and we’ve produced three offspring that are nothing like us. I live in the greatest state in the world, Texas.

A woman with a mission.

The race of their lives.

The love of a lifetime.

I don’t think his parents expected him to live up to his name—Racer Tate—but once he felt the adrenaline rush behind the wheel, he was addicted.

He’s the fastest, fiercest driver around.

Scouting new talent brings me to his doorstep…

but his smile sends me to my knees.

The sexy, mysterious Racer Tate is not the kind of man a girl like me falls for. He’s secretive, reckless, elusive. But his proximity pushes me beyond reason, and his kiss….

This is our last chance to win, and he is our only hope. I’m supposed to watch him—make sure he doesn’t get into trouble. But it’s an impossible task. And now the one in heart wrenching, toe-curling, soul-crushing trouble is me. Because when your heart belongs to someone, their truths become your own, and their secrets become your salvation…or your curse.

He says he wants me. He says I’m the One. But he also thinks he’ll break my heart, one piece at a time until it’s gone.
